WASHINGTON, D.C.—Yesterday, in the wake of the tragic death of another survivor of disgraced financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) led the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets in sending a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, demanding that the Department of Justice (DOJ) release the entirety of the Epstein files by May 16. The letter specifies that the files should be released with no redactions except those necessary to protect the personally identifiable information of Epstein’s survivors.

Additionally, the letter requests that Attorney General Bondi explain the inadequate DOJ response to inquiries about when the Epstein files would be released.

“The crimes of Jeffrey Epstein implicated the most powerful members of our society in one of the most horrific sex trafficking rings to be uncovered in this century,” said Representative Luna. “The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein as well as the American people deserve to know who among the elite protected, enabled, or participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s disgusting racket. Our task force is demanding the full release of these files or a briefing on the status of the investigation. We work alongside the DOJ—not for it. AG Bondi needs to stop stonewalling and communicate with us.”

The letter is co-signed by Reps. Tim Burchett (R-TN), Eric Burlison (R-MO), and Eli Crane (R-AZ).

On February 21, 2025, Pam Bondi told America Reports host John Roberts that “[Epstein’s client list] is sitting on my desk right now to review.” Despite this claim and multiple Congressional inquiries being sent to Attorney General Bondi, next to no new information has been released for Congressional, Task Force, or public review.
